Can anyone provide the township ratio of sales price to assessed value for the last 5-10 years? (Gerry or Vic are you reading this?) FYI - If your ratio is more than 15% either way, the assessor has the ability to change your taxes without going to the county tax board. If you are lower than the ratio, you could see your taxes go down. (This may be of some comfort to people that just bought.) One caveat, he does have the right to increase an assessment if the ratio is 15% above the norm. |
