Giants 16 Ravens 6 May Baltimore never win a Super Bowl as long as Modell is alive. Or whenever they go against the Giants. |

Howzabout either.... Giants 42 Ravens 3 (all scored in 1st quarter with no more points scored) or Giants 30 Ravens 21 (all scored in 1st quarter with no more points scored). or Giants 28 Ravens 11 (all points .... ) or Giants 23 Ravens 14 (see above) Seeing a trend here? No matter what the points: GO GIANTS!!!! |

Well, guess I have to be different here AGAIN. RAVENS 21 giants 17 Sorry folks, you can't bet with your heart, you have to bet with your head. And the head says giants can't continue winning with just luck. Ravens defense is just too much for these girls. THE GOOSE IS LOOSE!!!!! P.S. Eyespy and Unclelmer, you had to know it was comming. See you on Monday with a smile I'm sure. E-mail me at eastsidevoice and I'll give you your numbers. |

Hey, say nice things about the Jets. My dad was one! (Well, OK, a Titan, but you get the idea). Jets in the Super Bowl would have been more fun... |

I assume you mean if the Jets were playing the Giants in the Super Bowl...Yes, it would be more fun, as it was with the Yanks and Mets in the World Series. My jibe at EB1154 meant no disrespect for Jets persay, nor, indeed for EB's loyalty to them. A true fan sticks with his team through the good times AND the bad times, and there's no denying his loyalty! I do take issue with his flawed logic though. I will even admit that the Giants were "lucky" to win some of the games on the way to the S.B., but IMHO the Giants have become a vastly improved team that is deserving of their place in today's contest- Win or lose! |

Kathy, Ron Dayne of the Giants is a Wildcat. Assume you will be chearing for the G-Men. Unfortunately I am going to miss the game. I will be on a plane to LA for a business trip

Jerry - Cool beans about the Titans...I was beginning to think I was the only one who remembered that the NY Titans ever existed. Those Tennesseeans are a bunch o' Johnny-come-latelies (to the name, at least). In fact, the only professional football game I have ever attended was the NY Titans vs the Buffalo Bills, Thanksgiving Day 1961, at The Polo Grounds. So - is your dad Joe Ryan? DE, 4 games for the Titans in 1960? |

Curmudgeon: yep, that's my Dad. I highly recommend "Crash of The Titans", a book about the franchise that just came out. Lots of the players, including my dad, are quoted about the team and the times. I even get a brief mention in the where-are-they-now section ("his wife was pregnant with their first child in late 1960..." :-). He had some time with the Bears and Eagles as well in the late 50s. He retired from pro ball because the money wasn't much good, and went into a more secure and better paying profession: teaching. (Times have changed, eh?). |

Except for Chris above, all the other score forecasters have clearly begun the party early. This game will be won by fieldgoals, and only a single TD will be scored between the two teams (and that will be set up by a turnover). Here's the score: Ravens 9 Giants 7 with the Giants missing a FG to win at the gun, the revenge of Scott Norwood. |

I hate to be one of those guys who says I told you so but....AAHHH who am I kidding I love being one of those guys. As I stated above think with your head not your heart!! The giants were no match in this contest, they shouldn't have even been there. Lady luck had to run out sooner or later. Sorry maybe next year, oh wait a minute I think they might have to play a real schedule next year. P.S. EYESPY, Unclelmer and Kestrel I'll be looking for you on Monday. It's payback time Unclelmer. |
