Cars: Unique and Antique at the Durand-Hedden House this Sunday will feature a rare gathering of vintage cars dating from as far back as 1910 in models that are no longer being manufactured. Long-lost models scheduled to appear include Packard, DeSoto, Studebaker, Columbia, Reo, Franklin, Maxwell and Pierce Arrow. The car owners are all members of the Antique Auto Club of America’s New Jersey region. Maplewood Historian (and the regional club’s archivist) Howard Wiseman has also organized a display of automobile memorabilia, such as toy cars, ashtrays and hub caps, for the event. Durand-Hedden House, 523 Ridgewood Road in Maplewood, on Sunday, October 5 from 1-4. |
