I would like to paint the floor in the basement. However, I was told by a co-worker that I needed to wait 3 months because of the new concrete (for additional support columns for main beam) that was poured last month.

Does anyone if that is true?

Yep, I am not sure about the 90 days, but concrete takes months to fully harden and give up the water in the mix. Painting before the concrete has cured will result in a failed paint job.

Thank you very much. I guess I'll wait until the spring. Especially since the heat will be coming on soon and the thought of having paint near a running furnace is kinda creepy.
