Any suggestions of who to call to install an antenna on the roof of our bi-level home. Needs to be installed by Sunday! |

The previous owner of my home had installed an antenna in the attic. It worked fine while we used it, we got cable soon after moving in. If your attic is accessable and has the space, its a lot easier than climbing up on the roof, which is probably pitched more than you want to deal with in the middle of winter. Orient the antenna to the east to start, hook up the wire to your TV, (a small portable in the attic with you will help a lot) and then make your final directional adjustments before final tightening. Even if its not perfect reception, it will be good enough to watch the game tommorrow night, and probably until good weather in March when you can make it perfect on the roof if needed. |

A few phone calls Friday night and we were able to get Tom of ATB systems to come on Saturday. He climbed on the snow covered roof and installed the antenna. Very nice, professional. Now we can watch the game in HDTV! |

Would you mind giving us an idea what that cost, Spw784? I'd been looking for an antenna too (rather than pay Comcast $10/month for what ought to be free programming), but I got such outlandish estimates (THOUSANDS) that I gave up. Maybe I should revisit the idea. |

We had already purchased a Channel Master (excellent quality) antenna, so we could receieve HD TV - I think my husband says it costs about $170. We paid the installer $200 to climb on the snow covered roof (2 stories above ground, since it is a bilevel house). He had to saw off pole left by the previous owners antenna , and was at our house for about 90 minutes. I'd recommend him. |

Thanks a lot. Sounds like a bargain. |
