We have a 2 1/2 and 1 1/2 year old malteses. Sadly, my husband and I spolied the hell out of these dogs as puppies and we're having such a hard time training them to let us know when they have to go to the bathroom not just go on our carpet. They are totally sweet, adoring and lovable dogs. We just had twin girls and our time to try other training methods is very limited. We do love these dogs and we spent $900 on each of them but we feel we don't give them what they deserve and I think given the chance by a loving family they would learn to go to the bathroom in the right place. By the way, if you gate them in a kitchen or something and put newspaper down they almost always go on it. If you walk them, they will elimnate outside with no problem. Josie,
Just a suggestion, there are many dog training services available to you. You may want to check them out before giving away something you apparently love. A dog training service just might be your answer.
