Just wanted to post a plug for the new drycleaner that opened on Maplewood Avenue - I think it's called Linda's Drycleaning. Currently they're running a 50% off sale so I brought in a ton of stuff, some of which had some serious stains. Not only were they able to get everything sparkling clean, but the young woman who works the front desk was incredibly nice and customer service oriented. I pointed out where I thought there were spots but she checked each garment very carefully and found some I hadn't identified. And when I picked everything up she offered to help me bring it out to my car!

That's good to know. It's been hard finding a decent dry cleaner that knows anything about customer service around here; Gleasons, in particular, has been disappointing. We recently started going to New Wyoming Cleaners on Millburn Ave. and have been happy with them.

Looking for an area dry cleaner that I can trust with my wedding gown. Any suggestions? I posted a request about 6 weeks ago, but received no answers.

Spw--I suggest you contact the store where you bought the dress, and if that's not possible, contact one of the better bridal stores to see who they use.

I like Ozzie's near the Millburn Mall. We have been using them for five years.Take Valley to Vaux Hall and make a right. Very polite. Good service. I wish they were in town ...

I really liked Lynda's -- she is open until 7:00 PM and has got my business.

We normally use Elegant Valet -- they send someone to pick up and drop off the dry cleaning once a week. Even though they deliver, their prices are reasonable. They can be reached at (888) 706-1477 or (973) 779-6190. We take our especially delicate items to Gleasons. They have been very careful and have done a great job with them. I have also heard that they use environment-friendly chemicals.
