I've read on this board, and heard at the town meetings, that the TC took $170,000 out of the pool's surplus fund and used it for other purposes. What is the plan for returning these funds to the pool? If the TC has no plans to do so, then I would expect them to send a notice to each of the pool members informing them of their pro-rata share so they can make the appropriate deductions on their individual tax returns. Does anyone know what is going to happen with this issue? Thanks.

What's this about draining the pool to stay afloat? That doesn't make sense. Good thing it's January.

Why so surprised Shakespeare? You knew about the pool fund last summer, it was a big joke to you then. I re-read what Mr. Ryan said last summer, which was a complete denial, and you posted a lengthy humorous post. I guess it's not so funny now.

Nilmeister,

You didn't really get my post, but I won't say you're all wet.

I'll try not to dive in from the side on this issue any more.

I believe the TC has appropriated $160k in this year's budget to marsite(sp) the pool. If that is the case I believe they replaced most of the money so this should no longer be an issue. Before you get in an uproar, I agree that it was handled poorly but I don't think the TC did anything illegal. Some of their reasons did make sense as to why the money was taken but I know no one wants to hear that so I'm not gonna even go there.
