Can anyone suggest a reliable roofer? This is my first experience with facing roof repair, and I would greatly appreciate any suggestions, names, etc. Thanks |

I used Scott's Roofing last spring and was most satisfied. They weren't the least expensive, but were on the lower end of the bids I received. The work was done on schedule, quickly and without disruption to our household. The cleanup was also very good. They broke a screen in the roofing process and had it repaired immediately and without a discussion as to how or when the screen was ripped. Best part. They finished the job just before a weekend of big time rain. When I noticed a leak around an interior chimney on Sunday, Scott was over promptly to do a temporary patch, and had the crew come back in good weather during the week to do a permanent seal. Let me know if you want to know more. Scott's Roofing Scott Bennett 973-731-0019 |

I've had a great experience with Hipp Roofing, out of Westfield. Steve Hipp, owner and worker, does good work, is reasonably priced, answers your calls promptly, and offers good advice. He guarantees his work for 20 years, and came back quickly when I thought I had developed a leak with all of the snow this winter. (I hadn't--the roof was fine.) I'd highly recommend him. You can reach him at (980) 233-4000. |

I'd second Scott's Roofing. He did a great job for us. My only reservation is that he doesn't install soffit vents and many of these older Maplewood homes need them. |
