Electrical inspection schedule

Since they were pulling out the walls anyway (panelling), I had all new outlets, smoke detectors, switches, etc put in, all up to code with permits. We are ready to go with the rough inspection, but now they can't schedule until next monday, which means that the sheetrock won't begin to go up until mid-next week. The guys can't do anything. This a real hardship for me. We have to get this work wrapped up quick for a specific and meaningful reason. Is there anyone I can appeal to to pencil us in? I once was able talk Mr. Mitamyer to do the inspection himself.
