A full great audience last night! Gordon James was an unexpectedly fine opening act especially with a couple of his mellow jazz pieces. Dave Samuels was hypnotic on vibraphone(?) and then lively in accompanying Angela Bofill with her mix of bluesy vocals, not-too-serious innuendo, and lots of drums, guitar, keyboards. A great evening of music especially to this novice listener (made even more enjoyable by the PTA-organized childcare for Seth Boyden families). Unlike the majority of the audience, I'd never heard any of them before, and felt truly fortunate to hear so much musical talent and energy so close to home.
Thanks to Art for putting up the artists at his place!
