Hey Gang,

We have a bunch of door handles throughout the house that are missing the screws that allow the handle to catch the latch bolt. No biggy, I figure I'll head down to Home Depot (I know, I know... don't make fun) for some screws. No luck there... couldn't even find someone to ask. So I head to another local hardware store and speak to the guy who tells me that the screws I have are particular to the door handle. He says that most older / ornate locksets were put together with specially tooled screws not in standard sizes. Could this be true? I just need some simple screws... it can't be this hard can it?

Thanks.

I doubt that you can't find the screws needed in the fastners isle.
Do you have an old one? If so match it up.

Good luck.
