Help. I own a Kenmore console type humidifier that has been sitting idle since we turned the heat off last year. It has collected enough dust and minerals to need a thorough cleaning. However, no one seems to know how to go about this. Without detailing it to the level of q tips it seems to me that the best way would be to take it outside and hose it down with cleaner. However, I am concerned about getting any electronics wet, the fan and motor can probably be removed but methinks that that might be going to far. Any ideas? Thanks
