Hi, my wife and I are looking to have a security system with smoke detectors installed in our home in S.O. We do not want to use ADT or Slomins, we prefer a local alarm company. Can anyone recommend a company here in Maplewood or S.O.?

We use Ultimate Security based in Livingston -- we are very happy with their response time so far (we have had a few false alarms due to forgetting the alarm was set and opening the back door). They were recommended by a good friend in our neighborhood. We had ADT and they stank. We upgraded using some of the ADT equipment and added hardwired smoke detectors. The saleman Brett is very nice and responsive -- so far, so good. 973-535-0515. |

Consider Metro Alarms. They are or were a sponser of MOL and very good at these systems. |

Algebra & JB,
I called Metro Alarm and Osvaldo the owner came to our home, he was very patient with our lack of knowledge of security systems and how they work and he answered all our questions. His price for the system was great and his monthly monitoring rate is only $22.00 that was $8.00 less than Slomins and $6.00 less than ADT. We also like the fact that one of our neighbors has a system installed by them and are very happy.
