I haven't watched "ER" much lately -- used to watch it every week -- but I have been tuning in again the past three weeks. What happened to the John Carter character? Is he off the show? How did they write him out? It seems like he just vanished. |

He & his wife just had a baby and he wanted to spend time with his family. He is not completely gone from the show, just putting in much fewer episodes.
I was such a big ER fan, but have not really enjoyed it since all the original characters are gone. |

So have they explained his character's absence with anything, or is he just not on it? I must have missed a big storyline. I haven't really watched the show since sometime last February. |

Luca went to some third world contry last season. This season in the opening episode, Carter received word that Luca was killed. Carter went to retrieve Luca's body..Luca was found injured,but alive, Carter had an epiphany and decided to stay to help his less fortunate man. Luca announced to Carrie that he would be returning to this third world country in 8 weeks.....so we'll see Carter again. |
