I have a bag full of clothes that I would like to donate to the Good Will. Anyone know of a drop spot or of another place where I can bring them? Thank You |

I think there is a Goodwill or Salvation Army drop box over at the town recycling center off Boyden. Maybe you could call Town Hall to confirm. |

You could call the Viet Nam Vets who will pick up from your house. They come by monthly. I don't know the number. |

The Vets have a number in the yellow pages under Thrift Shops. Also, there is a Women's League Thrift Shop of some sort on Springfield, across from where the Farmers' Market sets up, that accepts donations. |

I called town hall and they said that over at the Recycling center on Boyden Ave. is a Good Will Drop Box. Thanks to all of you for your help. |

There is a Salvation Army Thrift Store located on Springfield Avenue, two blocks west of Clinton Avenue. They will issue a receipt for all donations. That comes in very handy around tax time. Volunteers of America will come to you home to pick up donations, but I think they would require a bundle of more than one or two bags. Their number is 642-0300. They too issue tax deductible receipts. Goodwill's number is 621-9560. Drop off boxes are all over the town, but your donations cannot be accounted for, and are therefore not tax deductible. |
