Anyone know of something or someone to bring into our home to entertain 6-year olds for a birthday party?

i.e. A person with animals that can come to your home, a pony to give rides, a musician or band, puppets, performing, something interesting and NOT a clown or a magician? We want something simple, not too expensive, educational and fun.

Must be able to come to Maplewood or from the area.

I have 2 months to plan it.

We had a "Mad Science" party for our son when he was 7, and my daughter went to one for a 6-yr. old female friend. Both had wonderful times. The "scientist" leads the kids through some experiments related to static electricity, they make "goop", explore black lights, and have indoor fireworks. The birthday child gets to do some special things.

I seem to remember that they were very reasonable. Look in the yellow pages, or in one of those Essex Kids magazines that you sometimes find around for the number.

Thank you, Blh, I'll look into it.
See if my daughter is into it.
