Could someone clarify this?

I live in R1-7 (min. lot .16 acres). I have .252 acres. At the rate of 350,000 x .252 + 170,000 (site value). My assessment is 258,200. It has been said on this board and in the televised seminar that only the minimum lot size should be multiplied by the highest number and the rest should be multiplied by $100,000. IS THIS TRUE? Can we get a definite response on this from Mr. Gallante? Mr. Ryan, this may affect you. Do you know the answer?

Are many of us getting overcharged for our land? In my case (.16 x 350,000) + (.092 x 100,000) + 170,000 = 235,200 --- a difference of $22,800 in my assessment.

I can't be the only one. If your lot is over the minimum size in your area, you should check the math on your record card.

livnwestwless-
that name is quite the tonguetwister!
so listen, you have to come to the meeting tomorrow night - Wed.@7:30 pm - town hall- and talk to ALL your neighbors. Many of them are probably affected by this as well. I actually have on tape the statements made by the Mayor and Mr. Gallante which support the min. and excess cals which were not done for many of us.
We have to get the T.C. to discuss this as well as depreciation and class/quality categories.
