Here is the text of the resolution unanimously adopted by the Maplewood Township Committee on February 21, 2001.
RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT THE TOWNSHIP ASSESSOR ACCEPT THE REVALUATION PERFORMED BY CERTIFIED VALUATIONS, INC.
RESOLUTION NUMBER 41 ?01
WHEREAS, the Township of Maplewood has undertaken a Township wide revaluation; and
WHEREAS, issues have been raised concerning the validity of the process used by Certified Valuations, Inc. in conducting the revaluation; and
WHEREAS, the Township retained Harry Haushalter, Esq. and DeMartin Schwartz Real Estate Appraisal and Consulting Services, Inc. to conduct a review of the revaluation process performed by Certified Valuations, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the Township Committee has received the reports submitted by Harry Haushalter, Esq. and DeMartin Schwartz Real Estate Appraisal and Consulting Services, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Committee of the Township of Maplewood, County of Essex, State of New Jersey as follows:
The Township Committee recommends to the Township Tax Assessor that:
(a) The Assessor accept the revaluation performed by Certified Valuations, Inc. as modified by the Maplewood Tax Assessor; and
(b) The Assessor, along with his staff of temporary Assessors, continue to review all properties whose owners submitted requests for an assessor review, and where applicable make appropriate adjustments.

Fritzen, Township Clerk of the Township of Maplewood, in the County of Essex and State of New Jersey do hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a Resolution adopted by the Township Committee of the Township of Maplewood, County of Essex, State of New Jersey at a regular meeting of said Committee held February 21, 2001. |
