Does anyone have any idea what the cost range is per square foot or per yard for a decent mid-grade carpet with padding for use in the basement? We're not looking for anything fancy, just something that is durable and fairly soft. Also, does anyone have an estimate for the average cost of the labor involved to lay the carpet? |

Before putting carpeting in a basement be absolutely sure you don't have a water problem, including dampness in the concrete floor. Mold and mildew aren't fun. |
