There have been ongoing problems with the high school kids walking home on Plymouth Ave. There have been incidents of violence and intimidation. We are looking to get a group of residents together to find a positive approach to resolve this situation. To do this we need to know what other streets are involved, please post to let us know if your street is affected. Thanks.

We have had both attempted car-jackings and attacks on youth walking from youths in cars at the corner of Kensington Terrace and Crowell Place. We also have a litter problem.

Thank you for your responses. Have either of you tried to get the police or the school to take action? If so, what happened?

We have kids walking home all the time on Maplewood Ave but I've never seen or heard of any problems. The kids are rather orderly.

We have a great many high school kids walk by us on Prospect St down near Tuscan, but they seem to be OK. The worst thing that has happened is that they snapped a young sapling in half that the town had just planted alongside the sidewalk. Otherwise, they seem just fine (albeit a bit weirdly dressed...but I guess that's just me being 33 and them being 15).

We also have lots of CHS students on North Terrace. Never witnessed any incidents beyond the usual teenage exuberance.

Cam1, regarding the incidents of violence and intimidation on Plymouth Avenue, were they directed at residents of the street or the kids themselves? Is this an occasional or frequent happening?
