Studies indicate that in the next decade 1,000,000 more people will be shoehorned into NJ. Whether it will be into more 2 family conversions in Maplewood or the last open spaces of Warren County is left to the imagination. In such an environment one can also imagine that the Development & Redevelopment Act of 1992 might actually get some teeth. If this occurs, what role has been assigned this town? Have we been designated a "metropolitian planning area", and could state planning take precedence over local zoning and habitability ordinances - such as they are?
