Maplewood Taxi--about $25. Call 24 hours in advance. |

I go to and from Newark Airport via train to Broad St. and then Airlink; or I can take the 37 to/from Ivy Hill. I'm a senior, so the whole thing costs me less than $3. Sometimes neighbors will drive me or pick me up and from time to time I use Maplewood Loop Taxi. Out of State friends sometimes leave their cars in my driveway and I take them to/from. Unless you get caught in a snowstorm. . . last Friday it took me 3 busses, a neighbor and 5 hours to get home. |

Check out the thread on the jitney.. several taxi services are listed there (we all digressed). I do not recommend Maplewood Taxi, as they are not reliable in picking up on time, even when you call ahead. |

We have used Maplewood Taxi for years and never had a problem. It is important to call ahead though. |

We also have not had problems with Maplewood Taxi for airport transportation, but I have definitely heard horror stories about trying to use them late at night. When they are not available (early mornings, certain holidays) we have used Union Taxi a couple of times and not had any problem. When I'm on expense account, my employer specifies Country Club Limousine Service, and they are great, but expect to pay $60+ from Maplewood to the airport with them. |
