Try the driving range on SA in Union before you get to Home Depot. :-)

As Don Rickles would say, "Why not post this here, we had a hockey puck give the State of the Union Address last night".

I built my own set last year and enjoyed it a lot. They end up a ton cheaper and you can tailor them to fit yourself. I started with a fairway wood for practice. It cost about $30 and it’s a super club. Then I completed the woods and did a set of irons.

Insite: Why not new golf clubs, instead of used?

You got a big tax refund, splurge a little and help grow the economy!

I'm just taking up the game and don't want to spend too much.

Sorry, just trying to swerve the thread back onto politics, to match the topic it's in.

You can probably find a better deal with a new set from Sports Authority. Most of the used sets are from people who upgraded and the Original set was pretty expensive. Wilson clubs are good enough to get you through a season and some lessons to find out if you like the game and what type of clubs would suit you.

Insite - I have a set of Tommy Armour 855's that are about seven or eight years old free for the taking. My wife bought me a set of Titleist 690's last year for father's day so the TA's just sit in my garage. The set is full 3-PW except that the 7 iron is an 845 with graphite shaft, all the others are regular flex steel shaft. Good clubs for beginners.

Let me know if you're interested.
