I would like to begin a small a capella singing group. Only 8 members. Anyone interested in pursuing this with me, please let me know. I was in an a capella group in college and now am missing it terribly. I will also need assistance in direction, and music selection and research. If you love acapella, can sight sing pretty well and have a great ear, and have experience with this kind of production, contact me via this message board.

I've always wanted to be in a barbershop quartet. If I begin recruiting Maplewood / SO, would we be competing for the same talent?

Maybe we can combine our efforts, I was thinking 4 women, 4 men?

Sounds like a great idea. We are hoping to perform on Maplewood Ave by this X-mas.

I love to sing -- in and out of the shower.
Count me in! Feel free to e-mail me. Thanks.

If you're the Fay I think you are, singing groups take notice; she's good. But Fay, how does one know your e-mail address from this post?

If you're seriously interested, post your voice (SATB) and e-mail address, and Jrf and I will keep a record. Then, when we feel we have enough for a meeting,

Jrf, could we meet?

I am the "Fay" who posted earlier. Love to sing and would be interested in the group. Thanks for the nice plug, Wendy!

My e-mail is fellis@earthlink.net.

Jrf:
Haven't heard in a while. Are you still interested? Looks like we now have two women, Fay and myself.

What voice do you sing? Do you have music or an idea where we can get it?

Fay, I am an alto, what voice are you? When I get more answers, I'll e-mail you.

If we don't hear by mid May, I say let's have auditions and advertise in the Record.

Any ideas?

Laura
