Kerry surges to the head of the pack, beating even Bush in a hypothetical election. according to the latest Newsweek Poll. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4049942/ Sure, it may just be a "post-Caucus" bounce, but the earlier predictions of a Shrub landslide are way too premature and looking thankfully ever more unlikely.

Oh and one more thing, and I'll bet Straw and others aree with me on this. We are not nearly as afraid of Kerry being POTUS as we would be if it were to be Howard Dean. Yes, candidate Kerry is polling better against Bush. Duh! He even is polling better against the other Democratic candidates. Wow! Isn't that interesting! What a shock, what a surprise... |

I think Kerry is a class act. ---> Brought to you by Sbenois Engineering LLC <- Hey, it also wouldn’t look good coming out of a motel with your wife’s best friend saying you were just planning a surprise birthday party for her husband...- Arturo November '03

I must agree. I wouldnt mind John Kerry. I wouldnt vote for him but I can think of much worse. Howard Dean, Al Gore, Lieberman, Sharpton just name a few. |

ok, let's get this straight - a soporific, old school liberal from Massachusetts running against a Bush. I saw this movie already and I know how it turns out. Like Lieberman, Kerry seems to be the choice of people who actually intend to vote for Bush in November. Dean, Clark, or Edwards would each put up a better fight than Kerry. Hey, I'll admit the guy looks presidential. He looks ready to have his face carved in Mt. Rushmore. But when Bush starts running ads morphing him into Teddy Kennedy and Mike Dukakis, it's game over. |

The attacks have started. I was watching an interview on Fox yesterday with a Republican Congressman from Virgina, who was quick to point out four or five times that Kerry had been Dukaisi's Lt. Governor. Can Willie Horton be far behind. Interestingly their was also supposed to be a Democratic Congressman interviewed at the same time, but they had "technical difficulties". The Virginian brought up one good point in that the only Dems to win the Whitehouse since Kennedy were Southerners.

And Senators rarely win. But that doesn't mean Kerry is utterly unelectable. Tom Reingold the prissy-pants There is nothing

Bush wasn't electable, nor was he elected, but somehow he is now the President. |
