If Dean's howl was career-ending, Lieberman's puns are running a close second.

Greeting his wife: "Que pasa, Hadassah!"
Campaign rally: "We're picking up Joe-mentum in New Hampshire!"

Is Al Gore writing for him?

Joe was endorsed by Newsmax. Doesn't that count for anything anymore?

Here's my favorite quote from the Newsmax "endorsement":

quote:

Lieberman points out on the campaign trail that while he is a proud Democrat, he is an American first. He understands that partisanship ends at the nation's shore. In the era of Sept. 11, national security should not be used to score cheap political points.

Except, the Iraq war was pushed through Congress, and sold to the public, by an Administration that did it, not because they had any valid intelligence about danger to our country from Iraq, but instead so that they could score "cheap political points".

Anybody who's not angry, I mean really angry, I mean Howard-Dean-with-the-neck-veins-poppin' angry, hasn't been paying enough attention.

IMHO.

I've been paying close attention and I'm not angry in the least.

Hey, it also wouldn’t look good coming out of a motel with your wife’s best friend saying you were just planning a surprise birthday party for her husband...- Arturo November '03

Joe's problem is not stupid puns. Joe's problem is... Joe.

Don't forget his "cup of Joe" appearances. Fittingly, though, coffee goes bad and gets bitter if it's heated too long. And then, it makes you nauseas (sp?). Heh.

Earlier this evening, as I was driving home, and cycling through the radio stations, I had one of those "jaw drop" moments as I listened to Senator Lieberman on the Sean Hannity show. The Senator wasn't debating Mr. Hannity, but was instead basking in accolades along the lines of, "You're closer to the President on foreign policy than any of the other candidates, right, Senator?"

So what's his platform? "I'll take you the same place President Bush will take you, but in a nicer handbasket"? One word: Sheesh!

So he's campaigning for the Democratic nomination on the Sean Hannity program?

It's that sort of brilliance that's put Joe where he is now.
