This morning at the train station I picked up a flyer re: Property tax Reform, which is scheduled for March 27th at 7:00pm in Columbia High School. LET'S THE KEEP THE PRESSURE ON!!! The flyer states the following: Senators John H. Adler, D-Cherry Hill, William Schluter, R-Flemington and Ronald Rice, D-Newark are conducting a Legislative Hearing to give residents the opportunity to speak on the need for property tax reform. This hearing is the first step in having a referendum on this year's General Election ballot to hold a Constitutional Convention for the sole purpose of re-structuring the property tax. COME AND BE HEARD! *Speakers can sign up at the door. |

Ronald Rice (D-Essex) told the audience at a community meeting in Maplewood last night. Rice, along with Sens. Bill Schluter (R-Mercer) and John Adler (D-Camden), urged public support for a bill that would ask voters to authorize a constitutional convention limited to property tax reform... |
