Does anyone know if there will be any parades locally tomorrow or Sunday, in South Orange or West Orange or wherever? Thanks.

South Orange holds a big parade on South Orange Avenue every year. I don't know which day it is scheduled for this year. You might try checking with the South Orange Village Town Hall, ask at the Baird Center, or check with Seton Hall.

That's actually the Newark parade, and they stopped marching past Seton Hall either last year or the year before. It starts further downtown and goes up to (I think) Sacred Heart in Vailsburg.

It starts on Broad Street in downtown Newark. I have no idea where it ends.

The Newark parade is this Sunday, marching up Broad Street past a grandstand at City Hall, and then continuing on up past the plaza area in front of the PSE&G building past another grandstand at Broad Street and Central Avenue.

The Newark parade starts at 1:30.

And, I just found a website with more information on the parade: Newark Saint Patrick's Day Parade.

How Are Things In Glocca Morra?
Is that little brook still leaping there?
Does it still run down to Donny-Cove?
Through Killy-begs, Kilkerry and Kildare?
How are things in Glocca Morra?
Is that willow tree still weeping there?
Does that laddie with the twinklin' eye
Come whistling by and does he walk away
Sad and dreamy there not to see me there?
So I ask each weeping' willow
And each brook along the way,
And each lad that comes a whistlin'
Too-ra-lay
How are things in Glocca Morra
This fine day?

If you get a lump in your throat, and hear the voice of Ella Logan in "Finian's Rainbow", when you read these lyrics: You and me have to have a couple of beers together some night.
