Edwards? Hillary? The General? Or my guess, Gephardt. |

Has Edwards said if he is running for his senate seat or is he gonna let it all ride on the White House? |

Edwards or Clark. Needs somebody from the south for balance, and depends on whether to stress their seriousness about defense, or go for someone charistmatic to show up Cheney. |

I think a potted plant would have more charisma than Cheney. |

Edwards is not running for reelection to his senate seat. He made and announced that decision many months ago. |

Let's hold off with the Kerry love affair. It looks like this intern story isn't going away. Her father has made it clear that he's a creep and others who know her say the story has legs. It looks like we are going to have another sex scandal on our hands and I'm not so sure the Dems can present a candidate with this type of dirt. At this point kerry has said he didn't do anything but as we all know very rarely do they admit anything until they have no choice. I'm assuming the worst, and Kerry is forced out. At this point we'd be looking at Edwards/Lieberman... Look for awhile at the China Cat Sunflower proud-walking jingle in the midnight sun Copper-dome Bodhi drip a silver kimono like a crazy-quilt stargown through a dream night wind.

Nice try, Straw. Looks like this story is DOA: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040216/ap_on_el_pr/kerry_pol ier_1 Woman Denies Rumors of Kerry Affair By MATTHEW ROSENBERG, Associated Press Writer NAIROBI, Kenya - A woman who has been the subject of rumors linking her to Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites) denied Monday that she ever had an affair with the Democratic presidential candidate..... Speaking of stories that won't go away, where WAS George in 1972???

I hope the Dems are smart enough not to go for two old time Congressional insiders, which would be the case with Gephardt. Edwards would be an attractive candidate, but it looks more and more like he doesn't want the job and I for one am beginning to believe his denials. Clark is to wooden. Bill Richardson of New Mexico might be a good choice because of, despite the WASP name, his Hispanic background and South Western roots. |

Richarson would be a smart move. As a matter of fact, he'd be a better prez candidate then Kerry. Look for awhile at the China Cat Sunflower proud-walking jingle in the midnight sun Copper-dome Bodhi drip a silver kimono like a crazy-quilt stargown through a dream night wind.

The nominee for VP won't be a northeasterner as long as Kerry gets the Democratic nomination for president. And given that Gephardt couldn't win even his neighboring state of Iowa, he doesn't seem likely either. I agree that it would be wise to nominate a VP who will not seem like a Washington insider -- and it should be someone likely to get support in the so-called yellow states. Straw, there seems to be no evidence that Kerry had an affair with an intern, so why the eagerness to pounce? Will you go bananas if I bring up, once again, the gaping hole in President Bush's national guard service records? |

As for the intern, her parents not only had disparaging things to say about Kerry, but the BBC reported that the parents were republicans who now plan on voting for Kerry. Come on! Aren't dems even a tad curious about that epiphany? On vice president running mates...why doesn't Kerry select a black congressman? Or congresswoman? Here's the dems chance to really put their money where their mouth is. |

Republicans who aren't voting for Bush? Does sound pretty suspicious. Either they've been paid off, or the implanted chip is malfunctioning. |

It seems to me that it is never who the popular media or even most people think it will be. Who guessed Dick Cheney would come up with himself? Who guessed Joe Lieberman last time around? Dan Quayle -- anyone? With that in mind, my pick is Evan Bayh. He who dies with the most toys is, nonetheless, still dead |

Maybe he'd go for Edwards, but maybe not if too charismatic. But if he goes for Hillary, I'll sit this election out. I really can't bear her, though I feel like I should... How 'bout Jeff Bezos? Just kidding... |
