I would like to get some estimates for power washing of our house & deck & refinishing of the deck. Any suggestions?

Check into hometime.com or toh.org. I believe that neither recommends powerwashing of wood, as you risk gouging the wood. If you really want to do it, they may have some advice for you regarding how high the pressure can be, etc. You could conceivably do it yourself, and rent a washer or buy a modestly-priced one at Home Depot.

I think I was not clear before. I'm looking for names of companies that powerwash/stain it in the Maplewood area. We have done it before but I didn't like the company although the wood held up fine.

Kss -- you were perfectly clear, but I guess I wasn't. I'm suggesting that you should rethink powerwashing your wooden deck and siding. Of course, maybe you've gone through all of this and my advice is moot.

Rutgers Painting washed, hand-sanded and stain-sealed my deck for under $10/Square foot. It's beautiful.

$10 a square foot? You can have new decking installed for $6.00 a square foot, mahogany slightly more.
Sounds pricy for just a stain.

My mistake, it was $1/Sq. Ft.
