Recently, many posters have expressed concern about John Kerry's fundraising. Some think that he took too much from lobbyists, or from "special interests", and others believe he took too much from entities or industries which received special favors from him.

So, that leaves the question: Does the amount of money raised from these sources, mean that Kerry should not be considered for election to the presidency?

It's a plot to make us forget Bush's largest funding source was Enron.

As I had posted here, Kerry is actually less beholden to special interests than most senators, if you also factor in PAC money, which he doesn't accept.

John Kerry was never my first choice for the nomination, but it's starting to piss me off that he is the victim of a ton of sleazy smears, from the fake Jane Fonda pictures, to the accusations that he wasn't a "real" war hero because his injuries weren't severe enough, being a "golddigger" for marrying his current wife, and so on.

It should only be an issue where the candidate makes the claim that he or she is not beholden to special interests. Especially special interests like Chung and Chaoying.

IMO, it should not ever be an issue because everyone does it.

Let's see, Shrub has raised $130 million so far, and conservatives are bashing Kerry?

I think if you look it up on past threads, "many posters" translates into something roughly akin to "two posters."

What a troll.

Sorry, I retract that troll comment.
