Foj: This is scary, and sorry to overwrite it. I'm listening to the progress. Why did Bush lift OSHA restrictions? What's in it for him?

?????

I just cleaned all the bathrooms, folded the clean clothes and put them away and mopped the kitchen floor (3 times) and I return to find the same old idiotic babblings of Tulip...should I be surprised?

Some things never change! :-)

You are a slug.
And if Dave bans me for that, he better ban you too.
I don't need friends the way you do, scrot, and I don't need to be right the way you do.
But you are plain wrong about most things and you have ruined this message board, because you just take over. I've given you a bit of your own medicine today, because I had the time. I think you post mindless nothings, and you jump on anyone who differs from your view.
You attack personally like a little chihuahua barking.

Good bye. Go fight with Innisowen or someone else. I'm off to the city for a Broadway show.

Tulip-

On a first name basis with the Board police? Hmmm...something tells me they would kick me off much quicker than you and not because you are dropping names...

Lastly, if you have been really paying attention, the only person I truly leap on is you. Innis and I have our moments, but I think it is a clash of our Irish egos for the most part.I only go after you because most of your posts our pure miserable drivel and try to pass it off as intellectual discussion.

But please strike this from you memory after reading it since I only post "mindless nothings."

Thanks! :-)

The only poster I see taking over is Foj. Of course, she takes over her own threads. It's like watching a drunk Robert Novak sometimes. But comical!

Southerner,

Stop taking over the board like that, you should be ashamed!

Do you want me to teach you a lesson, I have time?

Tulip-

FYI...OSHA was created by Congress in the 1970's and signed into law by, gasp, a Republican (Nixon)!

The goal was to provide protection to workers a in variety of industries.

My point? Bush just can't lift OSHA regulations, an act of Congress must occur...

nice try...

No, Congress doesn't have to pass a law, for OSHA to change or revoke one of its rules.

Congress passed the law creating OSHA, but doesn't pass a new law every time a regulation is written or changed.

OSHA is part of the Department of Labor, and the OSHA rules are written by Presidential appointees.

SALT
Clean air act
Clean water act
China
Supported Labor unions
Started to leave Viet Nam

I miss Nixon.

Bush doesn't necessarily have to change the rules; he's slashing the number of people assigned to enforcement. If there's no cops on the payroll, who cares what's illegal?

Tom-

I haven't seen a OSHA since my arrival to NYC but heard they exist. Sort of like Bigfoot....

Reagrding OSHA, there is much more than meets the eye, especially those "enforcers..."
