Living earth has been chugging away for Millions upon Millions of years (bird fossils found over 120Million years old).....sometimes hot, sometimes cold, sometimes warm, sometimes chilly, icy, steamy....

Anyone who thinks we have any part in the bigger picture is simply egotistical to an un-definable level. We should focus on the pollution/environment issues we can effect today (air breathing quality, ocean/lake polution, nucleur waste disposal) to keep our current quality of life in good order, rather than waste one nickel on the non-sensical. If we focus on cleaning up what we can actually impact, the bigger picture will take care of itself.

And if we DO manage to destroy the earth (and witness it's destruction) we should feel honored to have lived through a time to have witnessed what is truly a once-in-a-300 million year lifetime event.

I find people who live in fear of a horrible Global Warming Self-Created devastation, very similar to those who fear a 2nd coming, with its firey-brimstone ending to life-on-earth because of we sinners.

V. nice, Smarty. I didn't have you figured for an Evangelical Christian, but you sure talk the talk.

I think that anybody who thinks man is too insignificant to trigger catastrophic climate change is living in Never-Never Land.

Although, you are right. The bigger picture will take care of itself. Mother Nature always bats last.

That's one of the greatest things I've ever heard of. They should have everybody on the opposite site of the planet stand on chairs or boxes when the jumpers jump, so that their weight doesn't prevent the Earth from shifting.

Tulip-

No one is laughing off GW, maybe you just need to relax a bit? Notehead is a big supporter of GW...a 50 degree day in January is not unheard of...

God forbid if you laugh, or even crack a smile/joke in your presence...

If you are that concerned about what is going on in this crazy world we live in, turn off your computer, cancel your internet service and go out into the streets and start a revolution...

...or just shutup....

FYI...My 20 month year old son and I already ran errands, went for a jog, fed the ducks and went to the playground all while you were sleeping.....he is watching Elmo and eating now before we go back out, thank you....

I don't own an SUV, I own an inherited 1997 Toyota Corolla...As I said, I don't own an SUV but it is because of people like you, I wished I owned 7...one for each day of the week...

And it also because of people like you, I also want to build a Starbucks every 100 yards but that is another story...

If you are trying to avoid a "spitting match" then offer someting substanial other than what your left wing hack magazine/websites feeds you....

You can be very frustrating....if you want to know what I believe in just ask me, but please understand that I may have a different opinion than you and that is ok...

What's with this guy?
Here I am trying to say that global warming is obviously upon us, and he starts talking about my tree, and my "kind of people." What? Stereotyping me as a tree hugger, no doubt. You don't have to be an eco-terrorist to care about the environment, scrot. See ya, I guess the fastest way to answer scrotus so he doesn't keep hounding you is to ask him what he thinks. Keep that in mind, everyone.

My point is that I find it amusing to watch you and Scrotis go back and forth insulting each other.

Personally, I believe global warming is real, and I believe we humans have an affect on it, but that it is not as dramatic as many people claim. And I also believe that while we should reducing our pollution levels, that we do not have the technology or capability to reverse global warming.

And yes, sometimes I do like to laugh at people.

You on the other hand, seem to enjoy alienating everyone - even those who might agree with much, though not all, of what you say.

Hmm, this changing colors thing is fun.

No, it's Bush who alienates everyone. He lifts OSHA rules so that people die in droves in mines. He refuses to trace expenditures that are supposed to "help" people in the US or overseas. He wants to spy on Americans.
It stinks, it's upsetting, and you are giving me behavior lessons.

What!?

This is exactly what I am talking about. You suffer from a severe case of DBS (Deranged Bush Syndrome). According to you, he is the blame for EVERYTHING? Now, how can I or anyone else take your posts seriously.

If you have been paying attention, I have told you my opinions on a whole host of things (GW, Abortion, etc....). I am sorry it doesn't agree with your Village Voice mentality.

Do you want my opinion on GW? See Rastro's colorful post, that about sums it up. I must add that I am sick and tired of everyone hysterically claiming the "sky is falling" when it isn't...

Oh, get off your self-righteous high horse, ok? It is insulting and condescending...

And you see, you are protecting Bush. Tell him to get something right.

For someone much older than myself, you sure say some juvenile things. I bet you are a little shattered since you say your not.

When did I say my marriage was in trouble? My happily married (liberal) wife knows my opinions. She may not agree but she is going to be surprised to here our marriage is in trouble...I'll break it to her gently...

I'm sorry you married an exact replica of yourself, how utterly boring.

As I said in another post, I have TOO MANY friends, want some of mine?
