I think that if Cheney had done his military service, instead of being distracted by "other priorities," he might have more gun safety knowledge and either could have avoided the accident or even better just killed the guy outright. |

Hey, Daryl, I just heard that story and whooped with delight at the endless ironies that sprung to mind. Too bad for the victim, though... he'll be a trivia answer for many years, I imagine. "Who is Harry Whittington" |

I think Cheney must do the things he does to provide material for SNL and The Daily Show. |

Strawbury, Good pre-emptive move to post this item. At the risk of sounding paranoid, what's the meaning of the new tag? |

Apparently the gentlemen wounded by the VP is doing OK in a local hospital. He is in his midt 70s. Interestingly, it took almost 24 hours for this to hit the news. Cheney is quoted as saying, "the SOB was between me and the quail I was aiming at I wasn't going to pass up the shot because some nobody was in the way." |

I do believe that Straw is referring to the often mistaken believe that John Lennon utters "I buried Paul" at the tail end of Strawberry Fields Forever. But what he actually says is "cranberry sauce".

If Cheney had the choice of either being remembered for accidentaly shooting someone, or getting a blow job, I bet he would prefer shooting Whittingham because of his high morals. |

Paul, Sbenois is correct except the lyric is not "cranberry sauce"! The debate continues... |

Llama: for Cheney, it's not a blow job. It's a blow-the-guy-away job. |

Did the Vice President at least get the little quail with his big shotgun? That has to feel good for someone such as he. Accidents do happen in the theatre of war. You know, freedom isn't free. Didn't you hear? Yeah, you-berry. Hah! Nice thread you started. Lets hear your take on defending this sicko who little bush answers to, or is this just more proof that he can do no wrong. |
