I just heard Fox News on this, and the actually were blaming Wittington: he came back to the area Cheney was in unannounced, the sun was behind him, he was standing in a hole....I'm not a hunter, but I kind of figure the guy with the gun has ultimate responsibility not to shoot a fellow hunter, right?

That tells you everything you need to know about Fox News, doesn't it? Just one more example of the cult of personality that's developed around these people.

Next thing you know, some militiaman from Idaho will criticize Cheney's gun skills and Hannity will call him a liberal.

I'm sure the encounter went something like this

Whittington: "So Cheney I hear Scooter is singing like a bird."

Cheney: "I'll show you whose a bird around here."

The way I heard it, Whittington denied that he had WMDs, but he wasn't convincing enough -

So, it was justified!

I'm too old. Plus, I don't want to be part of our current mission. Cheney supported the Vietnam war.

Yes he did. He was (is) good at incouraging OTHER people to go fight...
