"SLK, MJB, dranove, et.al You people have long supported a man, now our president, who has brought upon us the most horrible situation known to human history. We are on the precipice of a nuclear holocaust" Talk about a drama queen. |

And if you look on this message board back when US troops were attacking Najaf, I told all y'all that bombing a mosque would not be a great idea. It would unleash a storm. It happened. It did.

tulip- my post isn't to the point enough for you? And we should listen to you about world issues... please remember my motto, revolt or shut up. All you left wingers ever want to do is bitch bitch and bitch but never want to do anything about it, proving your endless "outrages" are nothing but a farce. Hope you are comfy out in la la land. -SLK |

I don't expect YOU to listen to me, you have made up your mind. I have a right to post, and not be INSULTED by you. And thank you, Dave for erasing that horrible insult from SLK. I appreciate it. I hail from a town that had three stars on its school report card this year. It's not a hick town by any means, SLK, and if you don't understand why someone has to post their educational credentials on this board, look at the level of your insults. You have no right to insult people the way you do. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Oops, you didn't erase it. Oh, well, ever the optimist... Sbenois: Your definition of isolationism also describes the first days, months, and some would argue, years, after 9/11. Not wanting Dubai, or any country for that matter, to control many of our ports, does not amount to isolationism. Are you saying it does? What are you saying, for those of us who are dumb hicks and can't figure it out?

SLK - you are far worse then tulip. At the least she argues her points and sticks to the issues. Your arguments are those of a low-life. The 'left wingers' are doing plenty of protesting of the absurd policies of this administration. They are doing plenty of leg work and plenty of information gathering and sharing. Its too bad you 'right wingers' are doing nothing but apologizing for the startlingly poor record of this administration. As predicted before we went unilaterally declared war on Iraq, we have created a state that can not be stable from which a civil war is bound to occur. The government that we created on democratic principles is morphing into a theocracy even as we argue on MOL. And in todays Star Ledger a report that states that in the first half of last year (before the hurricanes) there was a 9% increase in the use of food kitchens because people cant make ends meet. The tax cuts for the rich and the program cuts which help the poor are causing misery right here in this country and that SLK may just give you the revolt you seem to be requesting. Hungry people do not make good neighbors. |

tulip- yup, silence your many critics by deletion-typical liberal tactic. That is why we can never take you guy seriously on free speech issues. And stop cozying up to Dave, he is obviously not playing favorites to an outsider, this isn't grade school so stop being the teachers pet. I do notice that your post that ended with "whiny Maplewoodians" or something like that WAS deleted. Or at least I can't find it that got me going... And that is not an insult, sister? Be careful or I will be on your a** like a pair of fruit of a looms... again, revolt or shut up already.... -SLK |

Never met Dave. Never said "whiny Maplewoodians." Said people who are defending Bush are whining, like you. Why don't you give HIM some advise? He's obviously struggling for leadership right now. Why don't YOU get busy and start helping your leader out of this mess? You will not be on my behind, because you are there, and I am comfy and cozy right here, and you don't know where I am, and your fruit of the looms aren't getting to first base here, bub. So, you shut up.

tulip- I support Dubya as best as I can as a common citizen. I voted for him twice, openly support him when I agree with his direction and openly critize him when I don't. In other words, I treat him fairly, unlike you and others like you that cosntantly whine bitch and moan while offering no solutions and constantly throwing him under the bus. You and your politicians know so much better but can't seem to win an election to prove it. If you don't like Bush I can accept and respect that. But understand the line has blurred over who has legimitate beefs with him and those just jumping on the bandwagon. -SLK |

Tulip, As I indicated above, I think we actually agree on the issue of Iraq, although probably for different reasons. I do think you are confusing "Isolationism", as defined above by Sbenois, with being "isolated", which is a situation that any politician could find himself in at any given time. I wish that Mr. Bush was an isolationist in the way I am using the term, but sadly, he is not. Cheers. |

mbj, do you ever have anything positive to say to or about anyone? i don't usually chime in on politics, i just read to be educated and get alternative perspectives but i happen to like tulip's posts and think she makes some very compelling points unlike most of the conservatives on the board.

Well if you think she makes some "compelling points" then that speaks volumes about you, and not in a positive way. And by the way, I love most of Scrotis' posts, so there's something positive for you. Thanks for checking in. |
