I am still in awe, Sbenois, still in awe to the fourth power, at least. Where can I get an admission ticket when you and your team present this at the "National Conference on the Customs and Traditions of Goobers and S--tkickers" ? |

Seb, Nice post. However, the grammatical error in the opening sentence makes your point silly. But, I do appreciate the effort. I must really get to you guys for you to spend so much time on me. Don't you have a world to save from the Republicans rather than waste valuable time on a hick? I had no idea I was succeeding at my goal so easily. |

Now, now, Dr winston; we must remember that Southerner is there to remind us what the world was like in a closed-minded agrarian world where access to education and things that otherwise broaden the mind was limited to the mule that pulled the plow, while all the man behind it had to do was hold it straight in the furrow. I think southerner does quite well now since he strings two sequential thoughts together. Maybe some day he'll learn how to entertain two opposing thoughts at the same time and reason them out. But that's not going to happen in your lifetime or mine, as southerner's still trying to do things with those non-opposable thumbs of his. Or as Southerner might say: "Uh-oh, time for Judge Wapner." And Southerner, I still am willing to fund that little piece of education for you. But I haven't heard you respond to the offer yet. Not even so much as a thank you. |

I would have expected War of Northern Agression or at least War Between the States as well. But this map, according to the boys at Sbenois Linguistics, clearly said Official War of The States and We Really Won and had action figures that you could move around to various battle scenes where velcro was attached. For instance, there is a velcro patch at Appomattox, Virginia and just to the right of it is says place victorious Gen. Lee action figure here. I can only guess that the manufacturer (DeLay Enterprises) was forced to change the name by level-headed southerners who just want to get past the Civil War already. But there is, apparently, still a market for such an item in America in 2006. Go figure. |

This is great. I'll continue reading. You guys just can't get over the hump. You want so bad to be in control, yet, people like me are. You feel powerless and I love it. And to think, I will be even more obnoxious after the election. As for this thread, Corzine probably wishes he was still in the Senate where he could hide. Shine the light and the roaches will scatter. |

Southerner: More obnoxious than you are now? Hardly likely? Probably less in control of grammar and spelling, imho. Who composed the fairly literate 1:52 PM posting for you? Have you outsourced that? In the end, you'll have to remember that your 2004 vote for George Bush was wasted: you elected someone who can't get it done. You elected the underperforming and the incompetent to the WH. His performance may please you. If so, that shows only how low your standards are. It's your Party and you can cry if you want to. |

Do you really want to discuss wasted votes? The President I voted for won. The Governor I voted for won. The local Rep (Democrat) I voted for won. And not one of them were wasted. If it wasn't for Corzine your last few trips to the polls might have been a huge waste of time. |

And on Friday, I had the pleasure of having the KOA read it to me over the phone using the special voice he uses to highlight just how funny things are when people really should be outraged. No one should be suspended. I didn't see anything personal. They were attacking the messenger because they are upset with their own political parties failures. I relish in our success and they can't stomach it. Each of these liberal posters are so lost politically that they must attack. That is fine and not taken personal. I will continue to laugh as their world view collapses around them. Even their presidential frontrunner is running to the right as fast as she can. They call it the center, but it is obvious the center is the right. I do agree, that should win post of the year. If nothing else, for the sheer time involved. I'm just glad SB thinks I am that important to waste his valuable time on. I surely would not waste that much time on anything on this board. Except, perhaps after this upcoming election day, when all the predictions and polls are proven wrong. Maybe then I will search the archives and use every prediction made the past year and a half to make fun of the minority party. I guarantee if the Dems do take back Congress, there will be at least 20 threads aimed at Straw, cjc, and myself. |

So, Southerner, do you accept my offer to pay for a three credit course in European history (see March 24 @4.31 PM) to help you through the bouts of lack of knowledge you're having? And to help you understand the definition and use of such words as Nazi? As I mentioned, it'll help make up for those days you were absent, or, depending on your real situation, give you a leg up on those college applications. Let me know. The money is yours once you take and pass such a course at an accredited college and show me the proof. I'll even drop the C grade requirement and allow any passing grade. |

Sben, I liked your post better than Dave's personally. I find that you only get banned on MOL if some panty waste complains to the Admins. In general the board is pretty large and neither Dave or Jamie have the time to scour every post. Also, they don't want to be kicking tons of people off because they have more to gain by us all getting along. Having said that some people are squeaky wheels and unbelievably thin skinned and have goody goody complexes and find the need to tattle tale to the Admins. So just remember if you ever want to have someone banned just cry like a little beyotch. You have the power. |

Sben - I think Daves post was fantastic too. I now will have to go away, meditate on the merits of each post and contemplate both the actual and symbolic meanings behind them. Once I have ascertained their values relative to each other and to both our virtual and actual world I will be able to vote my conscience at years end. ... It is with a heavy heart that I now realize that you have given me a Herculian task which I may never be able to complete. |

As usual you libs are giving out awards before the proper time. I hope you are still calling Pelosi, Mrs. Speaker. If the end of the year is after the elections then don't give Sb the award quite yet. I imagine if the Dems do indeed take control that many of you will have several outstanding posts venting your 12 plus years of frustration. And if the Repubs maintain then maybe I'll have something to say about all the outrageous claims that have been made since your last bubble burst in 2004. Either way, Sb's post was indeed outstanding, but there is still time on the clock. |

If the end of the year is after the elections (5 points, plural = 10 points) then don't give Sb the award quite yet. I imagine if the Dems (5 points) do indeed take control that many of you will have several outstanding posts venting your 12 plus years of frustration. I'd love to give Southerner the tuition I've promised for his three credit European History course, but he has not found the time to answer me yet. It must be due to the sweat and effort that his correspondence school course in neo-con economics is giving him. I wonder if he learned to drive in correspondence school as well. What say, Southerner? You want some free money for improving your mind? |
