This was on the LA Times Editorial section recently.

I love Jonah Goldberg. He's definitely underrated as one of the right's great intellects.

This is so funny,

"Hussein had a 30-year track record of pursuing WMD"

GWB: "I would know, my daddy sold them to him"

Then there is this one:
"One reason Bush is down in the polls . . . . "

I can't even finish the quote, because its so friggin stupid. Bush is down in the polls because he cant govern, and his co-horts can't govern either.

Imagine that: Repubs that can't even run a war. Sun Tzu would turn over in his grave.

You're right, that sentence is too foolish for words. I for one never considered for a minute that he was giving that impression; rather I'm getting the impression that he's constantly trying to change the subject to 9/11.

And this one, "But he would serve himself and the county better if he simply explained that he's been right all along" is a howler too, as if the Bush administration ever says anything but he's been right all along!

Jonah Goldberg is a puerile poseuer and National Review hasn't been worth reading for years.

Cheers

Read Cobra II : The Inside Story of the Invasion and Occupation of Iraq by Michael R. Gordon and Gen. Bernard E. Trainor, USMC (ret.) and use it to help you make up your own minds.

Jonah Goldberg only recently finished third grade (it was a squeaker, and he couldn't grasp the notion of multiplication) so his credibility may not be the strongest.
