In a time of war, I think the least we can do is post an "I love America" on a message board.

Actually, the least we could do would be absolutely nothing. But posting "I love America" on a message board is a close second.

I love what seems to be an obsession on "fill in the blank" Strawberry's part with the Black male, particularly the Black Male Super-Athlete. Do I sense some type of insecurity?

I figured that! And I thought we didn't have anything in common? Awww, Strawberry, this could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

"America makes prodigious mistakes, America has colossal faults, but one thing cannot be denied: America is always on the move. She may be going to Hell, of course, but at least she isn't standing still."

Moving backwards, which seems to be the case since the "elections" of 2000 is also a kind of momentum.

Soon we'll be able to say Welcome once again to Robber Barons, Teapot Dome, and Tammany Hall.

We're so in love with the concept of the frontier again, that we've re-birthed it and moved it to Iraq. And we'll be sending "Chester Allen" Bush's Great White Fleet around the world once more.

Hats off to the American century--- the 19th!

Strawberry,

I am American. If you love America, how can you say this to me? I love America. I understand your pain. It's time to stop digging yourself deeper in your hole and face up to the realities your demented cries for help are addressing. Even an ugly American can love America. Thanks for the enlightenment you have bestowed upon us by creating this idiotic and boring thread. May you see a light to heal your soul and turn the hate you disguise as love into a positive force that will channel the energy of your anger elsewhere.

Do not reply to me, just absorb this mentally, over and over, lest you cannot control your misguided impulses for all to see.

One more thing. Thank you. I love America, and I love you.

Ninety-eight percent of the adults in this country are decent, hard-working, honest Americans. It's the other lousy two percent that get all the publicity. But then--we elected them.
