Quote:Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice conceded Friday that the United States probably has made thousands of "tactical errors" in Iraq and elsewhere, but said it will be judged by its larger aims of peace and democracy in the Middle East.
Why do I get the feeling that these errors are like cockroaches and that for everyone you see (or admit to) there are thousands more?

Tactics are about flanking manuevers and such, on the battlefield. I am not sure Condi is speaking in military terms. |

She is also on record as parroting the prez's mantra (last Sunday on MTP):"It's hard to build a democracy. Things take longer and you make mistakes." That's right, Condi, especially if you don't plan. Even the US Army, (fer chrissakes, the US Army) has always emphasized in its training manuals: "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail." But then neither GWB nor the Dickster ever served, so they would never have absorbed that lesson. |
