The research sheds light on why staunch Democrats and Republicans can hear the same information, but walk away with opposite conclusions."

There's also an article in this month's Scientific American regarding this study.

It reminds me of a great line in the one man show "Defending the Caveman" when the actor says "Women are not hindered by logic." Apparently, neither are political partisans.
