For reference, the Dow closed at 10,739 on Friday.

The T-Bond yield settled at 5.059%

Oil closed at roughly $78 per barrel (I need to check this one again)

My predictions:

DOW opens (and let's revise this to 10am to account for order imbalances that might delay any number of components from opening in a reasonable period of time) at 10406

DOW at noon: 10491

DOW at the close: 10325

T-Bond yield: 4.92

Oil at 10am: $91

Gas: $3.27

DOW at 4pm 10,870

10 year bond yield at the open and close tomorrow close at 5.00

Average price of regular gas at 9pm Tuesday evening at the three stations Vauxhall/Springfield $ 2.99

Mr LL thinks that the DOW is going to be at 10am and oil is going to go down?

Have you been spiking the Matzoh Charlotte again?

A sell off never hurt anyone. My 401K makes it's next purchase on Friday so I'll get more bang from my buck!

Brief spike in oil, but it'll settle down.

The Dow may be going down, but not because of the Middle East.

T-bills? I don't know if that's where the money will run to, if it does.

Gas prices - our friendly local dealers may try to see what we'll put up with.

Dave,
I know. This isn't my area. I know enough to know that predicting the market is a waste of time. I'm still buying regardless. Although, if I was closer to retirement I would have rediversified long ago. Everytime I see a dip I smile.

Looks like oil is moving lower on a belief that this will only last days. Mr LL wins.

Mr. LL says if you want him to manage your money or provide sage investment advice for a mere 15%, he'll be glad to explain his investment strategy
