Internationally acclaimed singing star Celine Dion confirmed tonight from a packed press conference in Quebec that she will be flying to Beirut tomorrow morning to broker a peace deal in the current Mid-east crisis.

Ms. Dion, who has sold 175 million records worldwide and whose biggest hits include My Heart Will Go On and I'm Your Angel, promised to get to the bottom of the situation and bring both sides to a point where they can agree on some fundamental concepts.

"Music is the one thing that brings everyone together" said Ms. Dion, "and I'd like to think that if I stood on the border between Lebanon and Israel and began to sing the theme from Beauty and the Beast, it would awaken feelings of, how you say, commonality, among the combatants. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see soldiers on both sides of the borders turn their guns away from each other and point them elsewhere"

Dion's husband, Rene Angelil, a descendent of Lebanon, looked on with great joy.

I hereby swear that if Celine Dion can do this great thing, I will buy one of her cd's. But I don't promise to listen to it.

Well, you made me look. I don't see anything in the news about this. But why do these two different stories use the same picture, as if she was making the quote while holding her finger in the air?

Oh, I get it. Worldnet Daily is a fake newspaper.

Well, I'm inclined to agree with sbenois and notehead, in their implication that Dion is a talentless fool. You may now call me Mr. MOTO (master of the obvious).

Sbenois,
I'll do it, if you hold the white flag.

Why wasn't Celine invited to Rome today?

Has the world lost faith in her?
