Good riddance.

It's amusing to see right-wing bloviators like Limbaugh bellowing on the one hand that Lamont's win in Connecticut shows that the Dem party is being taken over by the radical left; and at the same time McKinney's loss is a sign that main-street Dems are booting them out.

It's a bit of "heads I win, tails you lose," though the more modern parlance is the simple word, "spin."

How come the bloviators don't come out in force and decry the conservative "purge" of Joe Schwarz in Michigan? A good, loyal Republican who has supported the president was dumped at least in part over the single issue of stem cell research:

tom,
It only shows that southern Democrats are more sensible than northern ones. Which is why southern Dems voted in huge numbers against Gore/Kerry.

Question: Who were the last 2 Democratic Presidents and where were they from?

If you Dems want to win again you should think about this question.

No loss.

Maybe she will run for Mayor of DC next.

I mean, people there are willing to elect you even if you smoke crack and cheat on your taxes.

She could probably get in one more beat down on a Capitol Hill security guard then, too.

There's just no explaining Barry. I think for most Dems his wins were pure headsmackers (as in, "how the heck did this guy get elected?"). I think everybody can point to a few individuals and say "I wish like hell you weren't on my team."

by no means was Cynthia McKinney a great congress woman but she was decent. Some of the issues she championed are common to all of us. Just pointing to the incident with the police officer and trying to marginalize her is foolish. She served admirably for 14 years. Thats a good public service record.

Her constituents voted her out and so her congressional career is coming to its end and that is exactly how our government should work.
