I think the premise of the thread needs further refinement.
Plus, is there a distinction between liberal and progressive?
And once again, for the upteenth time, I am a recovering democrat.
They have messed up the party beyond recognition and belief. |

FvF, my thread, no refinement. But on further consideration I will refine. Will all non-Jews who hate Bush (and didn't vote for him either time) and can't stand even stand listening to him speak but who support Israel (see above for definition) please speak up now. I would speak up but alas I'm part of the tribe.

This thread reminds me of Hillary's run for Senator in 2000. When it was brought to her attention that she would need the Jewish vote she all of a sudden realized she had some Jewish blood in her which she gladly discussed.
Kind of like what Tom and co are doing here on MOL.. All of a sudden, they support Israel, now that they realize Bush and the GOP have been correct in doing so all along..

Anyone can "participate" Tom. However my question posed initially and refined above was addressed to non-Jews, sort of as a counter-argument to some of the things assumed by FvF which he backs up by citing some of our "liberal" posters. Heck even anon posted here twice and I almost followed his advice and left well enough alone but then I weakened. I think if you read the whole thread and many of the others about Israel, you'll get the idea. |
