WASHINGTON (AP) -- Sen. John Kerry didn't contest the results at the time, but now that he's considering another run for the White House, he's alleging election improprieties by the Ohio Republican who oversaw the deciding vote in 2004.

An e-mail from Kerry will be sent to 100,000 Democratic donors Tuesday asking them to support U.S. Rep. Ted Strickland for governor of Ohio. The bulk of the e-mail criticizes Strickland's opponent, GOP Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, for his dual role in 2004 as President Bush's honorary Ohio campaign co-chairman and the state's top election official.

"He used the power of his state office to try to intimidate Ohioans and suppress the Democratic vote," Kerry says in the e-mail, according to a copy provided in advance.

I can't get over how he wimped out on election night over this. I want a candidate who is going to go to the mat next time there are irregularities (a polite word for cheating) in 2008.

I dunno. I see why he didn't do anything on electin night. One doesn't want to jump the gun.

I am sooooo depressed at the prospect of further irregularities. Dems'll never win another presidency.

Waste of time. This election Blackwell is running for Governor and will still be Secretary of State in Ohio. While he is running way behind Strickland in the polls I am sure the "miracle" of 2006 will get him the office and mansion. Can't trust those damn polls. Everybody knows all the pollsters are Libs. :-)

Good to see Libs have not forgotten how to whine. Off the top on my head I believe that only Democrats have been convicted of any election violations with respect to 2004.

I think Kerry should take his email message and fold it 5 times and put it where the moon doesnt shine. (ALA David Frost to Dick Nixon) The guy folded his tent and packed up. Now he wants to come back to the same campground..... eff him.

Dear MR Kerry... just what was the reason I left my job, flew to Ft. Lauderdale, & spent the month of Oct. working for your campaign. What was the reason we all worked 100 weeks... so the day after the election you could say...

we're gonna count every...... nevermind, I concede.

Kerry wants to think about running again, FOOK U PAL. Why, after letting us down, the way you did, do you think the Party would get behind you for one second. FOOK YOU KERRY, stay in the Senate, where you belong.

Kerry had over 4 million bucks in a special contingency account for the Post election battle. WHY? Did Kerry every really plan to use that money.

Bite me John Kerry.
