I hope Gerald Ford comes out in the next few days and says the same about New York as Carter did Florida. Nice pre-emptive strike with the lawyers at the ready.

Why? Is New York planning to have voting machines that do not allow for a recount? Have they changed their laws because they don't want to have to deal with the trouble of equal protection?

And... Gerald Ford??? Are you kidding me? Perhaps the only President of our century less respected while he was in office than Carter. What has Ford done since his retirement? While I may not agree with all of Carter's politics, he does good work, for the most part.
