I know we've discussed this issue last year, but since it's a brand new year, I'm hoping folks will finally get the hint. Driving yesterday a.m. was like driving through cotton balls. I had to put my high-beams on around Montrose because visibility was terribly low. Of course, this doesn't phase the uber power walkers and joggers who are still walking and/or jogging in this pea soup! Mind you, not one of them had reflective clothing on! What gives? When will common sense be the guide, especially in poor weather conditions? |

And I brought it up also the year before last...so I don't think anything will change until there's an accident. I used to live right on the park, on Grove, and coming out of my driveway as well as driving around the park was always frustrating (and dangerous!). Between the parked cars and walkers/joggers...ugh. |

IShep, I think you are right. I always cringe whenever I am driving or playing with the children at the park and see these people near the street curb with headsets on like they are the only ones allowed to use the roads. I hope there won't be an accident, but there's no guarantee...especially in poor weather conditions. |

I had to put my high-beams on around Montrose because visibility was terribly low That may be why you couldn't see anything. When you drive in the fog putting your high beams on is the worst thing you can do. You should be using your low beam headlights. The light from high beams will reflect back and cause glare. That's why fog lights are also sometimes lower on a car so they shine below the fog. |

But having your high beams on will surely help you see the Grove Park Bombers as they run away from the police. |

I don't know why, but i just don't think those walkers are reading this thread and thinking, "Hmmmm, maybe i should walk somewhere else!" |

They'll have plenty of time to catch up on threads during recovery from surgery - compound fractures are a bitch. |
