(I thought that if I made the subject topic sound like a complaint that I could put this in "Soapbox" where more people would read it).

-"Screw Jamie Ross, please"! -That is the hysterical plea and premise of most of Jamie's stand-up comedy bit which I recently caught at "Here's to the Arts". (I also figure that maybe Dave won't mind me plugging the place as a public [house] service announcement if I mention his brother).

-The really good news, (for those who haven't heard) is that Maplewood's "Here's to the Arts" on Baker street is now serving booze and beer, (and soon to have a kitchen) as they now have their license in full swing.
Thus everything is now funnier and the music sounds even better, (and everyone is better looking and more clever and insightful). I thought that Maplewood's thirsty crowd should know. It's a nice place and for those that care, -it is already a no-smoking establishment.

 -Cheers

That's funny, I didn't realize that was my main premise.

Monday nights are picking up, we had 7 comics last night (including so_refugee). And it's an open mike for comics, so if you want to give stand up a try - come on down.

Well Jamie it did sort of SEEM to be the main premise, (except for the also-funny insane drum bit), -Besides it does make for a good subject line here on MOL.
 -Regards.

Isn't that kind of a rip-off of Jack Bennie,
 "take my wife, please!"

Just fyi - "Screw Jamie Ross, please" - is Steel ripping off Jack Benny, I don't use that line.

(I can't believe there's 2 "Screw Jamie Ross" threads! LOL)

Hey if anyone is up in Pine Brook this Wednesday night - I'm one of the headliners at Tiffanys, as part of the Comedy Quarry.

Jack Benny didn't say that. It was Henny Youngman.

I prefer to call it an "homage" to Henny.

 (I get NO respect.)*
 *Note: official "homage" to Rodney.
